Danillo Curetti was born in Switzerland in 1953. He founded an earthenware factory in Switzerland after spending formative years in Longwy. Later on he returned to Longwy in 1991 where he died soon after in 1993. Based on forms known as ‘colonial balls’ harkening to the 17th century, he made contemporary designs on a flattened plain in many designs and colorations. His use of enamels, and decoration bring a unique quality to every piece. His works are sought after both for their striking presence as well as their rarity.
