It all counts for Chambost, a mid-century ceramicist born in 1906 in France. He began working with pottery in the 1930s as a student of applied arts. He is known for his work as an originating member of the Chambre Syndicale des céramistes d’art of France. In 1965 he lived out his days in a 15th Century villa in Dordogne with his family as artist, collector, maker, hunter, gardener, father, and husband until his death in 1983.

His works transformed the expectations for what ceramics were intended to be. His bold forms with streamlined silhouettes pop with vivacity and contrast.
